**The season of tension and anxiety is back, now that the results have started pouring in. Each year around this time, school kids go through a phase of transformation* and ready themselves to step out into the big, bad world. While the tension for the kids of CBSEboards is yet not over, the results are awaited on 25th of this month, ICSE has declared this year's result.*
The ICSE topper, though is a boy - Shivanshu Chaudhary from Holy Angels School, Sahibabad who scored a 97.5 per cent in best 10 subjects. However, the topper in best five subjects is Mansi Mishra who scored 97.6 per cent from the same school.
Metrolife spoke to Shiv Kumar Chaudhary, Scientific Officer at the HRD ministry and Shivanshu's father to know his feelings. "It is really a proud moment for us and we are really happy. He has always been a hard-working child and he was confident that he would score good marks in the exam."
"The best part about Shivanshu is that he only studied six hours every day and is not a late night sitter. He also watched television and played computer games. It is the efforts of his mother that yielded this result because I have a touring job. She is the one who kept her calm and took care of our son."
Thanking God was the first thing that came to his mind when Shivanshu saw his result. Shivanshu aspires to be an automobile engineer. "I am feeling really good being a topper as I didn't expect this at all. I would like to take up PCM in Std XI, to be able to work in the automobile field as I am really fond of cars." So, what gift did you get from your parents?

Mansi too shared her joy with us. "Although I have topped, I expected more marks. My overall marks have gone down a bit because of my English." Like Shivanshu, Mansi too plans to take up PCM and would like to enter IIT for her engineering.
Megha Mishra, Mansi's elder sister praised her kid sister on her achievement. "We always wanted her to top as she has never lost focus." So, are you going to pamper her with something? "Mansi is a very reserved girl, we have asked her so many times what she wants, but she doesn't tell us. We might go for a vacation."
The gender war has been won by girls once again in Delhi, with 99.63 per cent of them clearing the ICSE exam in comparison to 98.48 per cent boys. Talking about his students is Father Benoy Joseph, principal Holy Angels. "It is definitely a proud moment as they are all bright students. I am really satisfied with their results and Icongratulate them and wish them good luck for their future." Reported by Deccan Herald 3 hours ago.
