Akhilesh Yadav’s bounty for girls doesn’t pay off

The UP government on April 7 distributed cheques worth Rs 30,000 each to girls of Ghaziabad and Hapur under the Kanya Vidhya Dhan scheme amid much fanfare, however most have been unable to encash them as they have bounced.
