*India's Snehadevi Reddy shocked second-seeded Katherine IP of Hong Kong 6-3, 6-2 to enter the girls' final of Asian Closed Junior Championships at the DLTA complex on Friday.*

Awaiting the unseeded Bangalore girl in the final is fifth-seeded Asiya Dair of Kazakhstan, who rallied to beat third-seeded Thai Kamonwan Buayam 4-6, 6-4, 6-4 in the semifinal.

The Indian challenge in the boys singles got over with the loss of fifth-seeded Sumit Nangal. Nangal went down fighting to South Korea's Duck Hee Lee 7-5, 6-3. The 15-year-old Nangal put up a good fight in the first set before losing the drive in the second to go down in little over one hour.

In the final, Lee will meet Japan's Ken Onishi who overcame a second set slump to defeat Dukyoung Kim of South Korea 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 in the other semifinal.

However, Nangal had something to cheer about later in the day when he partnering Thai W Trongcharoenchaikul clinched the doubles title. The two defeated Japanese pairing of Onishi and Takashi Saito 4-6, 7-6 (7-2), 10-7.

In the women's doubles, top-seeded Mami Adachi and Hikari Yamamoto of Japan won the title defeating Thailand's Buayam and South Korea's Dabin Kim 6-3, 4-6, 10-2.
