After the official beginning of the election campaign for the presidential elections in Afghanistan last Sunday, the candidates are testing their might in debates over TV channels showing signs of a vibrant media in Afghanistan. Five prominent presidential aspirants out of eleven took part in a debate organized by a popular Afghan TV channel last night and expressed their views on a number of election issues including signing of bilateral security agreement with the United States, peace and reconciliation with the armed opposition, corruption in public life and good governance, human rights particularly the rights of women and girls.
