*A 15-year-old mentally challenged girl was allegedly raped by two of her school teachers over several months in Haryanas Bhiwani district, sparking off protests by angry villagers outside the government school after the incident came to light.*
The girl had been repeatedly raped by the two teachers for past several months and the accused even got her abortion done with the help of two nurses, police sources said today.
The incident came to light when the victim developed some medical complications following the abortion, they said.
The girls family members along with the Dudhwa village residents protested outside the school yesterday and blocked the main door, locking in some of the staff members.
The police faced a tough time pacifying the victims family and the villagers, who were demanding exemplary punishment against the accused.
"We have registered a case against the accused and further investigations are under progress. They have not been arrested so far and we have launched a vigorous hunt to nab them," Bhiwanis Superintendent of Police, Mithlesh Jain told PTI over the phone.
