Sandeep wins title

*Tamil Nadu's VM Sandeep and local girl Reshma Maruri emerged victors in the KTPPA-AITA Talent Series tennis tournament at the Mahila Seva Samaja courts on Thursday.*

While Sandeep scored a gritty 4-2, 4-3 (2) win over local lad Sunil Siddarth to clinch the boys' under-10 title, Reshma was just good for Mridula P, blanking the Tamil Nadu lass 4-0, 4-0 in the corresponding girls' final.

Sandeep also remained on course for a grand double, powering into the under-12 final following a 4-2, 4-2 defeat of Karthikean Ravi. In the title clash, he will take on RohanPrashanth, who prevailed 4-5 (4), 4-0, 10-7 over Adarsh Arun.
